Yesterday, 6 November, Estonian Ambassador to Vietnam Veikko Kala presented his credentials to Vietnamese President Tô Lâm.

According to Ambassador Kala, Estonia and Vietnam have several opportunities for cooperation, including in digitalisation, trade and tourism. “Our aim is to open up the Vietnamese market, with its immense potential and rapid development, to Estonian businesses and exports. That is why Estonia’s interests in Vietnam are closely linked to the interests of our businesses,” he said. The European Union and Vietnam also signed a free trade agreement in 2020, opening up new opportunities to deepen trade relations.

He has also served as Deputy Head of Mission at the Estonian Embassy in Moscow.
