Foreign Minister Mikser condemns attack in Egypt, offers condolences

Foreign Minister Sven Mikser condemned today’s gun attack on a bus carrying Coptic Christians in the Minya province of Egypt and offered condolences to his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry.

“Such brutal attack cannot have a place in our world. We must do everything in our power to prevent such attacks from happening,” emphasised Foreign Minister Sven Mikser.

“My sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and to Egyptian people. I wish a speedy recovery to those who were injured,” the Foreign Minister said.

More than 25 people were killed and more than 20 injured in today’s attack on a bus carrying Coptic Christians in Minya province. The attack was the latest in a series of terrorist incidents targeting the Coptic Christians in Egypt in the last six months.
