Let me congratulate you on my own behalf, as well as on behalf of all my colleagues on the occasion of your convincing victory in the Ukrainian presidential elections on 26 December 2004.

I am convinced that the people of Ukraine will make new progress in the development of their country during your presidency while preserving the feeling of that unprecedented solidarity and faith in the future witnessed by the whole world.

We regard your victory as the victory of democracy and fair competition opening before Ukraine new prospects for co-operation with the countries of the European Union, including the Republic of Estonia.
