Bilateral relations

The Federation of Malaysia recognised the independence of Estonia on 11 September 1991. Diplomatic relations between the two nations were established on 4 November 1993.
Malaysian Ambassador Cheah Choong Kit resides in Helsinki.
There have not been any high-level visits and no bilateral agreements have been signed.
