Over the next two days, 14-15 April, Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will participate in a meeting of the NATO foreign ministers in Berlin.
The foreign ministers will discuss matters related to NATO’s operation in Libya. They will also discuss recent developments in Afghanistan, NATO’s new partnership policy, and future tasks following the Lisbon summit. Meetings of the Russia, Georgia and Ukraine co-operation councils will take place within the framework of the foreign ministers’ meeting.
Foreign Minister Paet will talk to his colleagues regarding the abduction of Estonian citizens in Lebanon as well.
On Thursday, 14 April, Foreign Minister Paet will participate in a meeting of the Group of Friends of Georgia in Berlin, where the Georgian foreign minister will also be in attendance.
On Friday, 15 April Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will participate in a memorial event in Berlin dedicated to Richard Holbrooke organised by the American Academy in Berlin.
