Riga-Tartu-Tallinn Train to Start Running at End of May

A new passenger train line connecting Riga, Tartu and Tallinn is due to open on 29 May, said Nils Freivalds, board chairman of Latvia 's Pasazieru Vilciens railway company.
The train will be running once a day on the Riga-Tartu-Tallinn route. Freivalds added that there was demand on the Riga-Tartu stretch.
Pasazieru Vilciens is planning a similar connection will Lithuania as well, saying it would be the next stage. As the Rail Baltic project will take time, then there are plans to start providing passenger train services embracing the three Baltic countries, Freivalds said.
